Artist Statement / Biography

I am a natural light photographer. I especially enjoy the rural landscape and architecture and all the parts and pieces that go with it. I am always very pleased if I can find drama in the sky to help in my photographic expression. I am searching for motion, patterns, colors, leading lines, and reflections to help capture an image. Most of my images are taken using a tripod and an optical viewfinder mounted to the back of my Nikon D750 camera utilizing my live view screen as my viewfinder. This gives me the ability to control the focus, compose my image, and experiment with the aperture settings to include or blur the background. Often, I use the manual focusing and settings because of the slight movements in flowers as I zoom into their essence. My photography has been an ongoing ageless evolution of discovery! Always a challenge. . It is my passion, my lifeblood and the more I am engaged in photographic activities the better I feel.
