Artist Statement
In 1982, I saw an exhibit at the Sharon Arts Center called "Three New Hampshire Wood Engravers--Herbert Waters, Nora Unwin, and Randy Miller". I fell in love with the work of these artists and the medium of wood engraving. I started engraving, and was juried into the League of NH Craftsmen. As I began my illustration career in 1987, my medium was wood engraving, later scratchboard, to gain a look that set me apart. I am honored to have had a long career in editorial and children's book illustration. For the tour, I will display books, cards, calendars, wrapping paper, wood engravings, and paintings. I look forward to meeting you.
